The Ipswich State High School Wellbeing Program is a core component of our pastoral care curriculum, delivered to all students from Years 7–12. Designed to support the whole student, the program focuses on building knowledge, skills, and habits that promote positive wellbeing, resilience, and success at school and beyond.
Across each year level, students engage in age relevant learning targeting a broad range of topics including health, safety, and personal wellbeing, while also developing essential study skills, organisation strategies, and goal-setting practices to support their academic growth. As students progress through the program, there is an increasing focus on career education, helping them explore pathways, set future goals, and make informed decisions about life beyond school.
The effect and relevance of Ipswich Wellbeing Program is further strengthened by the inclusion of a wide range of guest speakers and external providers, who bring real-world insights and experiences into the classroom. This helps students make meaningful connections between their learning and the world around them.
The Ipswich Wellbeing Program empowers students to be confident, capable, and well-prepared for both their schooling journey and their future pathways.
