The YFC Program has established strong community partnerships to assist young parents to enhance their parenting abilities.

As part of our support and family education program, the following partners play a vital role in delivering onsite face to face support by:

  • Child and Baby Health Clinic – providing health services for babies and children to give them the best possible start in life
  • YFC Mothers Group – celebrating and supporting young parents.  Using a peer-mentoring model, our Peer Support Parents are specialists on young parenting, since they are young parents themselves
  • Services Australia (Centrelink) Community Engagement Officer assisting with access to information, payments and services
  • Domestic Violence Action Centre (DVAC) – a team of domestic violence specialists provide a non-judgmental approach to support students who may require this service.  They provide practical assistance, risk assessment and safety planning, information and advice and referrals to other support agencies.
  • Community Donations – students have access to donations such as nappies, toiletries, baby items etc.
