Students are required to study a semester of Japanese in year 7 and 8 and have the opportunity to explore Japanese as an elective in Years 9 and 10
The main objective of the course is to develop extensive language skills so students will be able to communicate confidently and effectively in both spoken and written Japanese in realistic situations. The course prepares students for further Japanese studies at University, TAFE and for study and travel in Japan.
Many jobs of the future will require languages other than English skills as our world becomes increasingly global. Learning a language may lead you into occupations such as local government, flight attendant, foreign diplomat, customs officer, the travel industry, education, defence forces and hospitality.
Junior Secondary
